Revelation 6 – The Art of Erotic Dance: How dance guided me into the underworld, my erotic fire, and the work I now bring to women.
Dance has always played a central part in my life.
As my medicine, as my ally, as my way back home into the body.
As a portal into the remembrance of my power, my sensuality, my confidence, my self belief and strength.
As a way to keep my body healthy, fit and luscious.
I remember viscerally the moment I first entered the strip club. There was a sign with a logo of a woman on a pole. I did not know what this place was, but looking for a job I thought to myself: I would love to get paid for dancing.
So I went in.
And my journey as a stripper began.
It was not the money at first, not the power or the play.
It was the dance that guided me into this industry.
An industry where I met women who are to this day some of my deepest soul sisters, over thirteen years later.
An industry where I finally experienced financial freedom after growing up in a family where money was always a struggle.
An industry that ignited the remembrance of the ancient temple arts, of sensuality, feminine magnetism and temptation.
It was not perfect. It was intense, confronting, triggering, and a call for deep reclamation and boundaries.
Yet it taught me so much, and I will always be grateful for it.
Beneath it all has always been the dance.
And when I returned to dance in the club about a year ago, I remembered so much of myself.
It was not that my dance had been lost. I was always a dancer.
It was just that my dance had taken the direction of somatics, therapy and healing, which is beautiful and vital.
But it had lost the aspect of the black erotic fire.
The temptress.
The enchantress.
And with that, a part of me.
When I returned to the club, it reignited. I felt a sexiness, aliveness and erotic fire that I had not felt in a long time.
It sparked my sex life, my erotic confidence and my feminine embodiment to another level.
I realized that this — and the money — are the essential parts that bring me the greatest joy in working as a dancer.
And I felt a deep longing to share this sensual magic with other women.
To support them in remembering this energy. To feel this fire, this aliveness, this confidence and passion. To ignite this energy and let it move through their body, their field and their life.
To FEEL the power of this energy and channel it into creating their greatest dreams and desires.
Feeling unstoppable.
Knowing they CAN.
This is exactly why our sexual energy has been colonized by the inorganic, man made systems that run society. Because they do not want us to be in our power and REMEMBER THAT WE CAN.
So I am following this burning call within my womb to keep this energy ALIVE within me, regardless of whether I am working in the club or not — and to ignite and enliven this energy within you, sister.
I know it is much easier to teach online, as it is more accessible to everyone.
But I simply cannot teach this energy and this dance online in the way I would like to.
