It was my last week in Adelaide before flying to Bali, and the air was thick with endings, beginnings, and the kind of raw, honest magic that only comes when you’re cracked open by love and change. These past few months have been an alchemical storm—unexpected turns, deep relational healing, and a total energetic recalibration. The greatest occupation in the world. In the conscious communities we often focus so deeply on the inner healing work that we remember the pain of childhood more than the love. And sometimes, the pain was greater than the love. But what often goes unseen is the unwavering care that every mother gives day after day—doing her best, pouring her heart and soul into her family in a world that has forgotten how to honour the feminine. A world that praises productivity over rest. A world that expects women to mother and often also father their children while working, running a household, dressing and feeding their kids… all while running on empty, with barely a moment for self-nourishment. Rather than endlessly spiralling in healing loops (which of course have their place), perhaps one of the deepest healings could come from pausing… and feeling into the immense offering that was made. The tireless love that was shown. The presence, the giving, the sacrifice. It was never her fault. Nor ours. But the fault of a society built on foundations that do not serve the feminine soul. And so as we dismantle this structure and weave a new architecture—one rooted in feminine structure, in the earth, in sacred remembering—may we offer forgiveness and grace. May we acknowledge the love and the efforts our mothers gave in their own way, through the limits and longings they carried. May we come to understand that through loving the imperfection, through embracing every part of where we come from, we open the path to something entirely new. A more luminous future for the children of tomorrow. Thank you to my mama @liz.byron.98 for giving me 20+ full years of your life in relentless devotion. I love you.
